Front-End Developer

Job Summary
AllRoomie is building the next generation of intelligent housing technology for international renters, landlords, and agents. As a Front-end Developer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing intuitive, high-performance user interfaces that empower our users across the U.S., U.K., and Asia.

You will work closely with our product managers, backend engineers, and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless user experience, technical excellence, and efficient feature delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for clean, elegant code and modern front-end frameworks.

Duties

• Architect, develop, and optimize responsive web applications and frontend systems.

• Collaborate closely with product, backend, and design teams to translate requirements into robust features.

• Enhance performance, accessibility, and smooth interactions across devices and browsers.

• Maintain and iterate on a shared component library to standardize UI and boost development velocity.

• Stay current with front-end technologies and lead internal knowledge sharing and technical demos.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in JavaScript and expertise in at least one mainstream framework (React or Vue).

• Hands-on experience with front-end engineering tools and best practices (e.g., ESLint, Prettier, TailwindCSS, React Query).

• Familiar with modular development and modern build tools such as Webpack or Vite.

• Comfortable working with RESTful APIs, including debugging and integration workflows.

• Solid understanding of browser rendering mechanisms and performance optimization techniques.

• Strong code organization and clean architecture skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration mindset.

• Fluent in English - reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

Bonus Skills (Strongly Preferred)

• Chinese Mandarin skill in speaking, writing, listening is strongly preferred.

• Experience using TypeScript in production environments.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Exposure to mobile-first development, PWA, or WeChat Mini Program development.

• Strong UI/UX sensibility or past experience working closely with designers.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Internship, Apprenticeship

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
