Front-End Engineer (Interactive Payment Dashboards, vue.js, nuxt.js, Typescript)

What You’ll Do

- UI Development (35%) Design and build modern, accessible UIs in SvelteKit 2.x with TailwindCSS 4 and TypeScript 5 for our merchant dashboard, embedded checkout and internal tools.
- Frontend CI/CD & DevEx (15%) Lead frontend CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and deploy to Cloudflare Pages or Vercel. Enable feature-flagged deploys, GitOps promotion flows and Chromatic visual reviews.
- Testing & Accessibility (15%) Establish test automation using Vitest, Storybook interaction tests, Playwright/Cypress e2e suites, and axe-core accessibility checks. Maintain >90% test coverage and enforce Core Web Vitals budgets.
- Security & Compliance (10%) Implement secure coding and frontend security best practices: CSP, SRI, OAuth 2.1/OIDC, mTLS API connections, and compliance mapping to PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001.
- Performance & Observability (10%) Deliver sub-second LCPs, real-user monitoring (RUM), OpenTelemetry traces and error tracking with Sentry.
- Collaboration & Documentation (10%) Collaborate across teams to evolve OpenAPI contracts, maintain a Storybook-driven design system, and document reusable UI patterns.
- Mentoring & Architecture (5%) Run design reviews, pair programming sessions, and shape the frontend architecture and roadmap.

You’ll Thrive Here If You Have

- 5+ years professional front‑end development with modern JS/TS frameworks and at least 2 years Svelte/SvelteKit experience.
- Strong knowledge of TailwindCSS and utility‑first design systems, plus responsive & accessible UI techniques (WCAG 2.2 AA).
- Demonstrated ownership of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for front‑end applications.
- Passion for testing culture – unit, component, accessibility, performance (Core Web Vitals).
- Solid understanding of web security & secure coding practices (CSP, SRI, OAuth/OIDC, XSS mitigation).
- Experience integrating with payments or other high‑compliance APIs (PCI‑DSS, GDPR, SOC 2).
- Comfortable leading architecture decisions, mentoring teammates, and collaborating across time zones.

Bonus Points

- Experience with Edge Functions (Cloudflare Workers, Vercel Edge Runtime) and streaming SSR.
- Familiarity with WebAssembly or Rust → WASM in the browser.
- GraphQL federation & persisted queries.
- Micro‑frontends (module federation) at scale.
- Contributions to Svelte/Tailwind OSS, tech blogging, or conference speaking.
