Full time Front End Developer

We are seeking an experienced Front End Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites, implementing custom functionality, and ensuring optimal site performance. You will work closely with our design and development teams to create exceptional digital experiences for our clients.

Responsibilities

Development & Technical:

• Develop, and maintain WordPress websites from scratch using known and custom themes and plugins.

• Implement pixel perfect responsive designs based on Figma designs and ensure cross-browser compatibility

• Optimise website performance, security, and SEO capabilities

• Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues

• Update content as and when required.

• Implement and maintain proper backup and security measures

• Build custom functionality using JS eg. creating small web apps to go with websites, etc.

Integration & Optimisation:

• Optimise database performance and implement caching solutions

• Ensure WordPress core, themes, and plugins are regularly updated

• Configure and optimise server environments for WordPress

• Integrate third-party APIs and services with WordPress

Collaboration:

• Work closely with designers to implement pixel-perfect, responsive designs

• Collaborate with the team on technical specifications and system architecture decisions

• Provide technical guidance and documentation

• Participate in code reviews and team meetings

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

Experience:

• 3 - 5 years of professional front-end development experience

• 3 - 5 years WordPress front-end development experience

• Proven track record of building custom WordPress websites

• Proven ability to proactively identify bugs and in bugfixing

Technical Skills Required:

• Knowledge of WordPress core, including hooks, actions, and filters

• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery/other common libraries

• Understanding of WordPress security best practices

• Familiarity with MySQL database management

• Experience with REST API implementation

• Knowledge of responsive design and mobile-first approaches

• Experience with Gutenberg & GeneratePress preferred

• WooCommerce development

6. WordPress themes and plugins development
